Fork In The Road

If I were gone for a long long time,

Would you miss me or erase me from your mind?

I’m traveling down this winter road.

Thinking about the future, present, past.

Am I welcome here?

Will I confess that you no longer care?

What will I do?

What will I do?

A fork in the road appears.

One is clear to confront her, the other is clothed with a dark canopy.

What will I do?

What will I do?

Should I run away?

When running away won’t prove a thing.

If only I could get a helping hand.

If only someone could pick me up and take my hand.

What will I do?

What will I do If I must be on my own.

I guess I was born to be alone.

A Sherpa with no herd.

I’m headed to a big city.

With sights, signs and pretty faces.

It’s been a long time coming but I know change goin’ come.

There’s a time coming where I know change goin’ come.

What will I do?

What will I do If I want to simply be a better man?

What will I Do?

What will I do?

What will I?

Do.

There are reasons why some roads are less traveled.

The strength, time and courage needed to complete the journey.

I question my gifts each day.

Were they truly meant for me or another man?

I’m to wait for many years before someone falls into my life.

I’m to be strong.

What will I?

Do.

I confront the fork in the road at last.

I will take the road less traveled.

I will take the right path.
